Ryan Morrissey
Owner of Peak Performance and Wellness, Ryan is a former local athlete graduating from St. Mary's High School as an all-conference and senior Anne Arundel County all-star basketball player. He continued his career at Western Maryland College while earning a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education.
During college, Ryan's passion for strength and conditioning led him to his first job as a personal trainer. He has been working as a trainer since 2003, through both general fitness facilities and sports performance training companies.
Ryan has had over 4 years of experience mentoring numerous trainers as Personal Training Director of two Gold's Gyms. He also developed a successful sport performance training department that worked with many local high school and collegiate athletes.

Tory Tolson

In his fourth year as a certified personal trainer, Tory brings several years of education, experience, and sports performance to Peak. Growing up as a competitive student-athlete, he received honors in both football and lacrosse throughout high school and college.
At Bowie High School, Tory was an all-county, all-conference, Maryland 4A All-Star Defensive End in football. He then continued his athletic career in college lacrosse as the Offensive Player of the Year at Southern Virginia University and as a top ten leading scorer in the nation while at Anne Arundel Community College.
Tory has gained knowledge of training for performance from trainers, coaches, physical therapists, and strength and conditioning coaches at the high school, collegiate, and professional level. Tory is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiological Sciences.
Tory has experience training individuals with specific goals of health improvement, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. His goal for each and every client is to gain invaluable information of proper training and movement mechanics that will not only help acheive training goals faster but improve quality of life and performance for many years to come.

Amy Turpin
With more than 12 years experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, Amy brings a wealth of diversity and education to Peak Performance and Wellness. With a degree in Holistic Health and Nutrition, Amy has been passionate about exercise and nutrition and has led a lifestyle based on this foundation. Amy is the former owner of The Natural Alternative in Easton, Massachusetts, a small retail company that facilitated health related educational programs and lectures while selling health related products.
Amy has been an avid runner for many years completing numerous marathons. Currently Amy is an active member of The Annapolis Triathlon Club. Amy completed her first triathlon in 2009 and continues to train year round in the multisport discipline. With a comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, and physiology and kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design, Amy has a very diverse client base. Her clients range in age from 12 - 88 years of age and include athletes from student to professional, pre-natal women, and post-rehabilitative clients.
Amy holds an advanced specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. As a Corrective Exercise Specialist, Amy has the advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully work with clients suffering from musculoskeletal impairments, imbalances, or post-rehabilitation concerns.

Maureen "Bean" Dupcak

Maureen "Bean" Dupcak played for the United States Women's Lacrosse National Team for 6 years. She was a member of the gold medal winning 1997 World Cup Women's Lacrosse Team and the 1996 and 2000 USA Touring teams (which traveled throughout Britain and Australia) and was the alternate for the 2001 World Cup Team. Bean attended the University of Maryland where she was a four-year letter winner, All-American and NCAA National Champion in both field hockey and lacrosse. In lacrosse she participated in four NCAA "Final Fours", playing in the championship game three times and winning the NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championship in 1992. In 2003 Bean was named one of the Atlantic Coast Conference's 50 all-time best women's lacrosse players. More recently she was inducted into the Potomac Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
From 1994-1996 Bean was a teacher and Head Field Hockey and Lacrosse coach at Episcopal High School in Houston, TX. After returning to the east coast in 1996, she worked as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland and helped guide the team to the 1997 National Championship. 1998 was the first of six years in which Bean was the Head Coach of American University's Women's Lacrosse Team. There she was named Colonial Conference Athletic Association Coach of the Year in 1999 and Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2003. She also took AU to its first ever (and only) NCAA tournament appearance in 2003 and currently holds the record for most wins in AU women's lacrosse history. Bean left coaching in 2003 to stay home and raise her daughters Samantha and Alexis.
Currently, Bean stays involved in lacrosse as a high school and recreational referee. In 2008 & 2009 she has been a MD State High School Championship referee. Bean also coaches youth lacrosse for the St. Mary's of Annapolis Organization.

Tommy Barzal
Tommy is a former varsity baseball player and team captain while attending Annapolis Area Christian School. He would then attend the University of Maryland where his passion for exercise grew. After suffering a sports-related knee injury that sidelined him, Tommy realized the need for proper biomechanical exercise and the role it plays with regards to injury prevention. Tommy followed his passion and pursued his degree in Kinesiology from College Park.
After college, Tommy continued his education in the field with a job at Annapolis Family Physical Therapy. There he was able to get hands on experience working with Physical Therapists to treat chronic and acute injuries. While Tommy was learning on the fly, he applied his new skills to his personal training clients. His unique work experience along with a degree in the field gives Tommy a thorough understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation that most trainers do not possess.
Tommy is now going into his third year as a trainer with experience working with teens through seniors. He has trained individuals with a wide variety of goals, fitness levels, and backgrounds. Tommy specializes in functional training for all ages and levels as well as baseball and soccer specific training.
