Performance Training
Our Performance Track caters to the competitive and recreational athlete who needs to properly prepare for the demands of their sport or activity. Beginning with an in-depth analysis of injury risk factors and athletic performance, our trainers take you step by step through the process of corrective exercise, education, and goal-specific training both in the weight room and in your activity’s environment (field, court, etc.). Peak's staff of trainers utilizes research proven training methods to bridge the gap between training and competing to win. By mimicking specific athletic movements and following proper biomechanical research, our approach carries over to success on the field not just improvement in weight room numbers. If you are looking to streamline the process of performance enhancement, our Performance Track is your avenue.
Athlete Evaluation
Health & Movement Screening - All new athletes are screened for musculo-skeletal issues tha
t could increase risk for acute injuries (ex: ACL injuries, ankle sprains, etc.) and chronic injuries (ex: shin splints, patellar tendonitis, etc.) along with decreasing performance. Screening results determine appropriate placement for training.
Performance Evaluation - Each athlete is evaluated on sport or activity specific tests that help determine current status and goal setting. Performance Evaluations are only performed on athletes that are prequalified to complete each test. Long-term athletes have an Athlete Profile which is a compilation of their progress through testing over time. Athlete Profiles can be a useful recruiting tool for college coaches.
Training Options
Individual Training - one-on-one setting with a strength and conditioning coach to design and implement a sport/activity specific training program. Optimal avenue for first time clients to effectively eliminate poor movement patterns and "re
-train" using proper biomechanics. Athletes can then be pre-qualified for higher level group settings. Options include individual sessions along with 3, 12, and 36 session packages.
Small Group and Partner Training - Multiple athletes with the same goals, who are at the same level of training can be paired or grouped for a convenient, less expensive, motivating way to train. Athletes need to be pre-screened prior to group training.
Seasonal Programs - Peak offers sport-specific training programs at various time of the year to properly prepare athletes for their upcoming season. These
programs include 3-4 months of consistent training in a group atmosphere during the off-season or pre-season. Programs can include nutritional consulting, weight room training, field/court training, and exercise testing.
